9″ half moon clutch basket made by Michael Kane 2025. As most of you know Michael is NOT taking orders for baskets but is making a few that will be very unique. This one has ebony tops on both sides. On the front Michael carved a map of Nantucket that he then had cast in 14K gold. It is a spectacular attention to detail to the Island of Nantucket. In addition he placed a 14K gold scallop shell with the island. There is also a 14K gold scallop shell on the ebony magnetic clasp. The other side has beautiful carved scallop shells from Antique Elephant Ivory. The center one is larger than the ones on either side. The inside has an antique ivory quarter board ready to have your name engraved. There is an ultra suede liner to keep your things inside the purse and a braided leather cord to have your hands free when needed. These baskets do not come available often so if you want a Michael Kane Lightship Basket you may want to jump on this one!
