Description
This clutch basket is made by Michael Kane. It is one of 3 baskets he made this year 2026. The front of this basket has an ebony top with carved 3 dimensional shells in antique ivory by Michael Kane.
The back of the basket has pink ivory wood (this wood is harvested in an area of Africa when a boy becomes of age in certain village).
Michael also did the carvings of the rosa rugosa flowers with the pearls in the center out of antique ivory.
Doing the front and back gives you the option to use it facing out depending on what you are wearing.
The magnetic clasp is ebony with a carved antique ivory sand dollar.
Inside you will find a braided leather cord that you can take out when you need your hands free. There is also a quarterboard that you can have you name put on to personalize the basket. The liner and the little pouch to hold the leather braided strap are ultrasuede.
All Michael’s Clutch Baskets have a stand that has two uses. One is to display when you are not using it and the other is when you are carrying it as a clutch you can hold onto the stand.
